Submitting art

Student Art
To get feedback/redlining on your art, go to group favorites.
There you can submit your work to the two "wanted" folders.
Please do NOT submit your entire gallery, but only new stuff (or I'll limit submissions!)
* Remember: no tracing, no photo parts - and CREDIT your references and tutorials used!

Mentor Art
We like you to submit your very best work as mentor examples in our gallery.
There are also folders for tutorials etc.
You guys have a automaticly accepted feature, so submit with care!

About Feedback
Feedback can be anything from a short comment on your piece to a more detailed critique.
The base for giving good feedback is to be positive - that means that just saying what you don't like in a piece, isn't enough! A positive feedback also lets the artist know, what he or she is doing well, besides giving them something to improve on.

ANYONE can give feedback.
Just because you're not a mentor, you can still help others by giving feedback. It's the whole idea with online galleries like dA, right?
So bring the love and caring into HARPG by helping others - you might learn something in return.

When a mentor has giving your art piece feedback, it will moved from the feedback folder to another folder, so we don't get floaded.

Red Lining
Please, do NOT ask for red lining on all your pieces!
It takes time to learn - and a lot of practice. So it won't help you a lot with red lining on 50 pieces at once. The idea is to get red lining on a piece you are currently working on. Then finish it and get feedback on the final product. Then do another piece, get more feedback and learn more.

Red lining in practice means, that someone will take a copy of your online art and draw corrections on top of it with red ink.
This can be done in both traditional and digital work.

It's a good way to get over some of those anatomy issues, because sometimes we just can't seem to fix things on our own.
So if you are really stuck and want to learn, red lining might be the right thing for you.

When a mentor has done red lining, the piece with red lining on it will be uploaded to our gallery folder for all to see.

Livestream Events
We have a livestream calendar, that we'll try to keep updated with scheduled events.
Livestream is an online video, that shows an artist drawing LIVE on his computer or traditionally by using a webcam.
For digital art it just shows a live feed of what is going on, on the screen while working.

To view, you just need the link. You don't need your own livestream.

While viewing/drawing, both sides can use a little chat.
Here you can ask questions about the artist's work, tools etc etc.

1. your age.
2. If you are interested in digital or traditional art

When we have time and energy, we'll look at your oin request and take a look at your info + gallery.
If you remembered to put in the info requested, we will most likely let you join.

Once a member, you have the same rights as any other student and can fully take part in our events etc.

How to become a mentor
Want to help others be better at RPG related art and equines in generel?
Are you prett good in either traditional or digital art - or both?
Do you want to make this community better by spending a few hours each week?

Well, we can always use another mentor ... but we are VERY picky!
So send us a note with a link/thumb to the 3 very absolutely best art pieces in your current gallery.
Then we'll look it through as soon as possible and do a vote in the admin area.
It might take up to a few weeks to decide, but you'll hear back from us as soon as possible.

So in the note, remember to write:
Your age
What tool(s) you prefer for art

Notice that a mentor status is a contributor status as well.
This have effect on how many groups you can be an admin in.

Membership is NOT automaticly approved
If you just want to support us and stay updated, feel free to watch the group.
But only students can become members!
